LITTLE ROCK, AR - A vigorous upper level disturbance raced across the Natural State Tuesday night. In its wake, the disturbance brought a dusting of sleet and snow to Central Arkansas. As temperatures dropped close to freezing, several bridges and overpasses had the opportunity to freeze up briefly.

Since the elevated roadways were exposed to colder temperatures there will be a few slick spots in these areas. Travelers are encouraged to drive slower than usual this morning and give themselves a little more distance between them and other drivers.

Later Wednesday we'll see a good amount of sunshine and warm up above freezing in the mid 40's. No other wintry weather is in the forecast for the next 7 days. Chief Meteorologist Jeff Baskin will tell you how cold it will be the rest of the week at 5, 9 and 10pm.
