Five year old rescued from possible kidnapping

LITTLE ROCK, AR – A five year old little girl is safe after police say a woman and her boyfriend abducted the child at gun point. Family members tell us the incident happened as the little girl and her guardian were heading to church.

Cassandra Davis with Little Roc Police tells us At 9:41 am officers were called to 1923 S. Main to a possible kidnapping. Once there they learned that five year old, Carleigh Brannon, had been taken at gun point by her biological mother, Tabitha Keys, and the mother’s boyfriend. Family members of the victim identify the boyfriend as LeShaun Gray.

It was reported that the boyfriend pointed a weapon at the child's guardian while the mother took the child. Suspects left the area in a 1995 black Nissan Maxima. The guardian was also robbed of her purse during the incident.

Davis says at approximately 1:30pm an Amber Alert was being initiated when officers learned of a possible location of the suspects and the child. The child and both suspects were located at 3214 Martin Luther King. The residence is that of the mother’s sister.

Little Rock Police say a SWAT call was initiated. Shortly after arriving at the scene, the suspects were taken into custody without further incident. The child was recovered unharmed.

Cassandra Davis with LRPD says the mother and her boyfriend will likely face charges of aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
