LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Prosecutors in central Arkansas say a former Philander Smith College official has pleaded no contest to a charge of promoting prostitution.

Deputy prosecutor Emily Abbott says former college recruiting director George Gray entered the no contest plea during a court appearance Tuesday.

Defense attorney Ron Davis Jr. didn't immediately return a phone message left Tuesday.

Abbott says Gray could face up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine when he's sentenced on Nov. 20. He must also register as a sex offender.

Gray was to go on trial Wednesday on charges of sexual assault and promoting a sexual performance by a child. Abbot says those charges are being dismissed following Gray's plea on Tuesday.

Wow! They dropped sexual performance by a child, and sexual assault for a plea! What is wrong with the people that are supposed to be prosecuting these people? I'd say the DA is almost as sick as this perv.
