Former Cabot teacher pleads guilty to sexual assault

bat102 you sound like a pedophile to be defending one. this woman abused her authority and position and abused a child can you not see that???? how was this child raised bad? how can you blame the parents???? if this was a man sexually assaulting a female you would want him hung. this is crazy how you whites make excuses for the sexual assaults committed mostly by your kind. she deserves to be sentenced to 45 years in prison just like the young man that was sentenced to that amount for raping the girls in the trailer park they lived in. this is RAPE

We all need to consider that these days kids are so advanced and this boy knew he had the advantage to take advantage of the situation. The adult should know better in ALL CASES!!! Just taking the risk of getting involoved with a minor and thinking that their not going to glorify it is stupid and ignorant. IT IS WRONG on both levels and either way any adult that is having sexual relations with a minor is disturbing and they need a Physc evaluation. There are no exuses in my opinion and no reason to even be friends with minors. We are their superior's and we are suppose to guide and teach them, be an example and role models. BOTH of these folks in this story need to be punished and clearly the adult more so. Parents need to be more active in their kids lives and stop allowing the GOV to tell you how you can discipline your kids. My boys are 18 and 16 and I still whoop that a** if needed and I DEMAND respect. Old fashioned values go a long way in my house.

Sorry, I don't buy the "it's both of their fault" statements. I am 40 yrs old and notice that there are some very mature (physically) 14 and 15 yr old girls around. I'm human, I have eyes. BUT, let these children open their mouths and you understand that they are NOT mature... they are kids. The teacher is an adult trusted with authority over these kids. She must have a screw loose if she can't keep her legs together with a little boy and I don't care if the kid was 17.9 yrs old. Have some pride and dignity. If not in yourself, in the position you hold. That goes for Dustin McDaniel as well.

What she did was wrong I admit and what the boy done was wrong if he had the proper upbringing [her too] this would have never happen,the boy needs some kind of punishment too.To OPIONATED if that was your son I would say you didn't bring him up right so there.

I was referring to THIS case, not any others. Yes, there are situations where males, whether teachers or not, have been in this situation. The girl wants him, gives it up, gets mad then cries rape. Happens all of the time and I am aware of that. Like I said, I was making reference to THIS case, not others. Like the two of you, I myself am tired of the double standard.

She and others like her should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as any other child predator. I agree with jim40401, the double standards on this issue is sickening. We can agree than grown man molesting underage boys is a problem, but the standard changes when it's a role reversal. Crime is crime, and she should be held accountable.

itsjustme, if he is not a victim than neither are the girls that have inappropriate relations with a male teacher. To follow your logic they both new it was wrong so they are both guilty. There is such a double standard that I am sick of it.

She knew this was wrong and I agree, it is very wrong. On the other hand, the boy she was doing also knew it was wrong, but never said anything until it all surfaced. Yet he is labeled a victim. He is not a victim.
