Monday night, the former congressman who put president Barack Obama's name into nomination in 2008 spoke at the Arkansas Republican Party headquarters.
Artur Davis told Republicans why he no longer supports Obama or the Democratic Party and why he things Republican will win statewide this November.
"It's a party that's become an exclusively liberal political organization," says Davis.
Monday night, Davis also voiced his support of school vouchers and government oversight.
Of his party switching earlier this year Davis said, "I did what I thought was right. Predictably, many Republicans have embraced me. Many Democrats are not eager to embrace me, shall we say. That's life in the big city."
