Let's see, the man plea bargains down to 10 years for what should've been a life sentence (as well as permanent safety for every other child from his clutches), he serves LESS than 2 years and now is elgible for parole. The judge and prosecuter should removed from office. If they care so little for children, they should be in an office. Many such predators intentionally seek environments where they can be put in positions of trust so they can continue to prey upon victims. Would the judge, prosecuter or members of the parole board want this man near their children or grandchildren? As far as religion being involved, its suprising how many atheists forget the genocidal horror of the atheists of the last century. Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Pol Pot regime and the list continues. Perhaps, they were motivated by their hatred and intolerance of religion. I have never encountered any religious person who has ever ranted and raved about atheist as they do about believers.

The Bible does say to forgive, but it does not say that you still should not be held to the law of the land. He should be punished for what he did and religion should not be brought into the situation at all. It is a separate entity and not a defense. It shows disrespect to Christianity and it is absurd.

Ah another religious person being held for something criminal. Over and over again we see this so maybe its time we DROP RELIGION FROM THIS COUNTRY! Religion is the worst thing ever created by man. He probably got told by "GOD" or some other invisible force (HA!!) to do this. What a crock of crap. Lets all work together to put religion behind us people.

10 years or 100 years isn't enough punishment for the lifetime of misery and guilt he's given the unknown number of kids he abused. The initial count was over 50, not the 11 of which he was convicted. But...incarceration for two years and then being made eligible for parole is a slap in the face to the children he raped and their families who have to deal with the issues he caused. Not only do they have to go to parole hearings and plead with uncaring bureaucrats to keep this guy locked up, but they'll see his face and have weeks of traumatic memories and nightmares afterwards. Why make them have to do that? Once again, we see the slap in the face and further punishment for the no longer 'innocent' children. He used his position of power and trust to abuse children, how many of them turned away from God because of him? I don't have a solution for pedophiles, and I don't have a way to make their victims feel better, but I sure as hell know that even being eligible for release after serving 20 percent of his sentence is making a mockery of what's right and just.

I don't think he should ever be eligible for parole... he abused minors!! He should have been given the death penalty but at least life without parole!!! Is 2 years enough for him to have rehabilitated himself??? What is he going to do once he is free???

The Bible also says that leaders, such as ministers and people who teach God's word will be held to a higher standard. I hope for his sake that he has made peace with God!
