FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say a Fort Smith woman who was shot dead in LeFlore County, Okla., was pregnant and the killing will be prosecuted as a double homicide.
LeFlore County Sheriff Bruce Curnutt said Tuesday he can't reveal specifics about how 20-year-old Ka'Loni Flynn was shot but said an autopsy conducted in Tulsa, Okla., revealed she was 12 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.
The Southwest Times Record reports Flynn was found dead inside a vehicle on McGinnis Lane between Spiro and Pocola early on April 9.
The sheriff says it's not yet known what type of gun was used to murder Flynn.
The investigation is continuing.
