Free Prom Dresses To Be Given Away To Needy Students Saturday

You must be a senior to get the dress and you must bring a parent or guardian to The Park at 6915 Geyer Springs Road from 11-2.
LITTLE ROCK, AR-- Two Little Rock women are helping girls go to the prom by giving away free dresses to those students who can't afford to buy one.

Saturday, Cynthia Harris and Subrena Howard will offer the gowns to high school girls. The event is called "That Prom Girl".

More than 700 dresses are available and most of them have never been worn before.

The two started the event 5 years ago.

"We started asking people to volunteer to buy dresses or give dresses, shoes, accessories and that's how we started," said co-planner Subrena Howard.

You must be a senior to get the dress and you must bring a parent or guardian to The Park at 6915 Geyer Springs Road from 11-2.

"We have brand new dresses that we just want to give away. We don't want to charge you. We just want to give them away to the girls in need," said co-planner Cynthia Harris.
