Funeral plans set for Ark. girl found in barrel

VAN BUREN, Ark. (AP) - A funeral will be held this weekend for a 16-year-old girl whose body was found in a barrel in western Arkansas.

Authorities found Angela Allen's body last week after she was reported missing earlier this month.

Prosecutors have charged 36-year-old Lloyd Jones in her death after authorities say he met Allen online and Allen's body was found on land owned by Jones' brother. Jones has pleaded not guilty.

Family friend Jackie Riley says Allen was a lovely girl who attended Butterfield Junior High School.

Visitation for Allen will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home's chapel. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.

@ whocares, you're right, other inmates don't play when it comes to scum like that but that's why they get their own little cell to protect them...How disgusting is that???? Sex offenders don't have to be in population with the other violent criminals. That's why they(the sex offenders) live to see another day to be released back into society where they can prey on their next victim/s...They do everything to protect the sex pervs but nothing to protect the innocent..

piece and stringth do you mean "peace and strength", on another note since he might take a plea deal i hope he gets whats coming to him the the "prison", inmates do not play about children and domestic abuse cases these days

Not sure how to respond without breaking at least one of the posting rules detailed above,Ijust finished reading a story about another childs death in Ark. So let me just say "Whats going on in ARK?! SAeems like its open season for children I guess. Nancy Grace go get em!
