First of all the young lady said that she was going to take the test at the Adult Education Center to prove to herself that she could do it on her own merit. Second of all the Official GED is not a scam at all. The GED test is written on a 12th grade, 9th month level, and if you are smart enough to pass the test it will say "Arkansas High School Diploma" on your certificate. The statistics say that only 70% of graduating high school seniors can even score high enough to pass the Official GED Test. Read the story again and put into context what she is saying. Sarah, please don't let the comments of a few people get to you. It is a very good thing that you are doing. By the way Arkansas will start charging to take the Official GED Test in 2014.

"I thought it would be the easy way out knowing I could cheat, use a calculator, and look up the answers. I wanted to prove to myself that I can do the GED," said Land." OMG, she sounds like a real winner..cheaters never win, especially at life. If she can't pass a GED test then how does she think she can get an assoc's degree? Oh that's right, anyone and everyone can get a college degree now, all they have to do is get a gummit grant and they slide you on through, no matter your intelligence level..b/c of people like that, many college degrees are worthless these days. They've dumbed down the educational system so that nobody get's their wittle feewings huwt.
