LITTLE ROCK, AR -- With enthusiasm and courage, gay rights activists look for fairness in their community.

This is the ninth year for the Conway Gay Pride parade, with people coming for various reasons.

"We have seen a lot of changes in the last half decade or so, and I am very proud to be part of those changes," said planner John Schenck.

Planners say usually protesters show up, but not this year though. They say as each year passes, another step forward is taken legalizing gay marriage.

"We want to be able to get married and have a wedding like everybody else," said supporter Heather Henderson.

Supporters say they are optimistic now more than ever.

"This year alone, don't ask don't tell is out the window. And two sundays ago, the NAACP came out in favor of gay marriage. That's one heck of a step," said Schenck.

I have done my home work on this matter. Lets take a logical look at evaluation and science for the non believers of God and religion on queers and queers being married. It is indeed a man and woman participation in evaluation to create off spring's.No man on man or woman on woman sex can create a child. So indeed queers are freaks of nature and breaking laws against nature and humanity. Laws against humanity has been frowned upon for 1000's of years as should be.So yes laws are being broken,no matter what spin you try to put on it.

Let me tell you about your Christian spouting people. I spent a weekend in a camp setting on a river over the weekend. There was a group of people in about 20 of those sight there together. They would spend hours praying. Shouting talking where you couldn't understand them. The girls were covered from chin to feet in clothing. Hair in buns. They seemed to really have some religious spirits moving through them. They almost fooled me. 20 minutes later the ladies would show up at the river in swim wear that made three postage stamps look large. The men drinking alcohol openly. So stop acting like Christians are all that. They looked pretty stupid to me. Some of us are tired of you living your life the way you want but thinking the rest of us shouldn't live the way we want. We don't even care to hear you lies anymore.

none of my business who marries who and it's nobody else's either.. I do wish that the gov't would get rid of spousal entitlements though...This is a new era and most people do not solely depend on their spouse for financial support like they did back in the day..Get rid of spousal entitlements, stop marriage tax penalties and get the gov't out of EVERYONE'S marriage..

Homosexuality is just like any other sin. Some people are more likely to commit this sin than others. Some people struggle with alcohol, drugs, fornication and people have to overcome. Temptations are natural and can be overcome. There is no temptation that can't be overcome. (1 Corinthians 10:13) Homosexuality is natural to some and must be overcome. Accepting homosexuality is just like accepting alcoholism or adultery. In the mean time, 1 Timothy 1:10, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, and Romans 1:25-27. Doesn't get much clearer than that. If you believe in Bible, you can't just accept parts of it. If you don't believe in the Bible, I pray that some day you will.

I LOVE MY WIFE WITH ALL MY HEART AND CAN NOT IMAGINE A DAY WITHOUT HER BY MY SIDE - MY NIECE CALLES HER AUNT AND HER NEPHEWS CALL ME AUNT - WE ARE AS MARRIED IN OUR HEARTS AS ANY STRAIGHT COUPLE - THE ONLY THING LACKING IS THAT WE DO NOT HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AS OTHER MARRIED PEOPLE - SILLY HOW SO MANY FEEL THE RIGHT TO JUDGE WHAT HAS ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO WITH THEM - IM SURE THEY ARE ALL WITHOUT SIN AND SHOULD BE CASTING MANY STONES - ALSO MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY GOD IS ALSO NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS EITHER - IT AFFECTS YOUR LIFE IN NO WAY AND I WILL HAVE THAT CONVERSATION WITH MY GOD WHEN I MEET HIM - MY GREATEST FEAR WOULD BE THAT IF SOMETHING WHERE TO HAPPEN TO MY LOVE THAT I MIGHT NOT BE PERMITED TO CARE FOR OR BE WITH HER (I DONT BELIEVE THAT OUR FAMILYS WOULD DO THAT BECAUSE WE BOTH COME FROM LOVING SUPPORTING FAMILYS BUT IN CRISIS YOU NEVER KNOW PEOPOLE DO CRAZY THINGS). I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW ANYONE COULD WISH THAT ON A PERSON. I WOULDNT WISH THAT ON EVEN THE MOST MEAN IGNORANT GAY HATERS OUT THERE. WHAT A CRUEL THING THAT WOULD BE! CAN YOU IMAGINE IF YOU COULDNT BE WITH THE PERSON YOU LOVE MOST IN THIS WORLD FOR WHATEVER REASON? AND SOME THINK ITS SILLY; I DONT THINK THERE IS ONE THING SILLY ABOUT THAT.............

@ Butch54 and TO...I agree. I say live and let live. To be Gay may not be accepted in the bible and may not be to God, but Thou shall not judge, thou shall not take a life or their own life. In otherwords let God handle his business. These people are not committing any major crimes that would make a difference in our lives. I have been to many Gay Pride parades and events, supporting my gay friends and all there is, is happy loving people that just want to share in life and joy. Leave hate out of it and if you don't support then don't support, but no need for mean judgemental behavior towards others for making their own decision.

It's not to me TO. Violence breeds violence. I'd like to see some stories on the brighter side too.

Most of the stories featured on this site feature hatred, stupidity and violence. Funny then that a celebration of people loving each other brings out such hostility.
