A man is found dead early Tuesday morning near an abandoned truck. Little Rock Police officers found 22-year-old William Blundell dead in the street at the intersection of Geyer Springs and Young road just after 2 o'clock in the morning.

Police say Blundell's body was near a 1985 Dodge pick up truck, but the truck is not registered to him. It's now being processed for clues.

Blundell's sister, Michelle Crutchfield, says she's hoping someone will come forward with information leading to the arrest in her brother's killing. "I did not expect to wake up this morning to find out my 22-year-old brother was brutally beaten."

Crutchfield says her brother, who she calls Bubba, was beaten and left for dead, and she's asking for help finding her brother's killer. "Someone knows something, somewhere, even if you were just driving by and you happened to see something. There's no way at 2:15 in the morning nobody was around."

Crutchfield says Bubba's death is especially hard on the family because they lost a cousin to murder three years ago that's still unsolved. She says her brother didn't have a physical address and stayed with friends or his 3-year-old son's mother. Crutchfield says he did not deserve to die this way. "He was young and had his whole life ahead of him."

She will always remember the good times they had together. "He was outgoing, energetic, and always up to something. He was mischievous."

Crutchfield says she'll always regret missing her one last opportunity to talk to him. "He messaged me 3 days ago on Facebook and I was so busy with my kids and handling other things that I never messaged him back."

While finding out what happened to Bubba won't bring him back, Crutchfield says finding answers is all she has left. "If we can get the word out there about my brother, I'm hoping and praying his killer will be brought to justice."

Crutchfield says her brother grew up in the Geyer Springs area and has gotten into trouble in the past, but she says she has no idea who would have wanted to kill her brother.

So far detectives have no leads on any possible suspects. Anyone with any information is asked to call Little Rock Police.

I just watched the video on this story. Did anyone else notice that the only person still in handcuffs was the black guy? If all 3 of them were being charged with murder, shouldn't they all be in handcuffs? The other 2 white teenagers came strolling out of court like they were leaving the movies! Please know that my sympathy goes out to this family for the loss of their loved one. It doesn't matter if he was homeless or not, what part of town he was in, or what he was doing out at 2am. What matters is that his life was ended by foolishness and that all involved are punished to the fullest extent of the law. I just commented on the handcuff thing because it caught my eye.

abbysmomma sorry for the loss of your brother william. As a person in the area everyday (business)I had assumed the victim was someone else. William was not in the area long and unfortunately made friends and trusted the wrong person. He was small and I never saw him aggressive or creating a problem.I find it strange that the city could post signs on that lot for high grass but not remove that inoperable truck. This truck and owner have been there for months not a couple of days. Not suprised that someone from those apartments was arrested.Everyone involved should be charged. It's a shame that William lost his life for other peoples issues. It disgusts me that no one seems to have learned from this. The same people are in the same places doing the same things and the City and LRPD still turn a blind eye to it. It's time for the apathy to stop.

For all of you who think my brother was murdered because he was up to something you all are very wrong. We have found out he was at the wrong place wrong time... It was a mistaken identity so my brother lost his life for no reason.. As far as him being homeless he was a grown man we could not make him stay somewhere. Oh and just so you all know we have had a major break in his murder case.. the people will pay for their actions

dguy12; Racially motivated? The young man was white; when was the last time any government entity went after a minority for a hate crime? So called "hate crime laws" only pertain to white people. Minorities are excluded from these laws. We don't want Al and Jesse coming to town, now do we? I have sympathy for his family; but considering he had family, he should not have been "homeless", wouldn't all of you agree? And yes, crime happens everywhere; do what I did, go out and get your concealed carry permit. As far as going to clubs; if he couldn't come up with the dough to have a home, then he should not have been spending his money in a club, if that is what he was doing at 2 in the am. Posssibly a drug deal gone bad? Hanging with the wrong crowd? We may never know. But we can all be sure, the good Lord knows what happened, and whether or not his killers are ever caught, they will be punished eventually. And dguy12, you are so right about terrorists right here; they call themselves Crips, Bloods, and so on. What they don't realize though; and I've said it before - they NEED the police; because without law and order, they would be hunted down like the mad dogs they are, and cleansed from the earth. They may "control" the inner cities; but they have no idea what awaits them out here in the country. If, or when, society breaks down, like Hank Jr. says, a country boy will survive; and when the groceries run out in the big cities, and they come flooding out here to steal and murder, they will end up being food for the crows, possums, raccoons, and worms.

Was this murder racially motivated? He was homeless and had nowhere to go that is why he was out at 2 a.m. like many people who go to clubs. Why are we over in the Middle East killing people when the real terrorists who must be dealt with are the kind who murdered this young man? Not all people can afford to move to a wealthy neighborhood and being poor does not cause someone to murder but race-based hate does. Do you think this young man's killers would not murder your relatives if they had a chance?

What does that mean exactly?Just because this young guy was in a certain part of town has absolutely nothing to do with it.Now days crimes happen in any or every part of Little Rock,North,South,East or West,it doesn't matter. It's very unfortunate that it happened to this young guy,his life was short lived because of his lifestyle. Some people never get a chance in life, they never understand that were only here temporarily!

Wrong place and wrong time; most honest folk are asleep or at work that time of morning. Perhaps he was hanging with the wrong crowd? My sympathy to the family; but one must stay on the right path in life, or suffer the consequences. wpsark; what is Slammer magazine? Never heard of it. Reckon I'll look it up on the 'net. Butch54; nope, I'm a Yankee, just ask Dude III. I live here because I inherited some land; and grew up in the Army, and served in the Army, so where I hang my hat is home.

Look I figure most of you must of been born in this state but there are lots of companies that work more than one shift. Than means that there are some honest hard working folks awake at that time. Some one could have seen it. The word snitch only works with the criminal element with value. What honest people do is tell it. You got to have some guts to do that though.

most normal people aren't out at 2:15 in the a.m, unless they're working or it's a special occasion, so odds are that no one else witnessed it but the suspect/s. I've seen this kid's face in Slammer magazine on a weekly basis. It's too bad that this happened and he didn't get the chance to turn his life around.
