This is absolutely heart wrenching.. There really are no word's to express my deepest sympathies for this father, and his family.. As a mother my heart breaks for them.. I will send prayers of faith and strength to this family, and I hope this father gets the help he needs in dealing with such a loss, I hope he doesn't blame himself cause a tragedy like this could happen anywhere, to anyone. JLP2011 you shouldn't be so quick to judge, or assume anything. It was a totally UNINTENTIONAL horrific accident!! As sad as this is It def made me think of the times Ive stepped out of my car for a brief sec with my kids to double check that I locked the front door or to move one of my kids bikes out of the driveway. It only takes a split second for something terrible to happen and for your life to change forever..

This is probably the worst thing that could happen to a parent. No words can explain what this man must be going through right now.

it could happen i know he is beyond grief. i imagined it happening to me and i almost shed a tear. i consider myself pretty tough but accidentally killing your child is more than i could handle i probably would send the rest of my lifein a mental institution. im sorry for the family that has to mourn this loss

jlp2011, do you have kids? maybe he'd gotten out of the car for whatever reason and she was in the car when he got out; when he got back in he might have just expected her to still be in there. We don't know her age or anything yet..

How can someone get out of a vehicle without you knowing? Really? If she isnt sitting next to you upon backing out then SHE GOT OUT!
