HS Basketball Players Compete in Real Deal in the Rock

The nation's top high school basketball players face-off in an annual tournament in Central Arkansas.
The annual Real Deal in the Rock basketball tournament brought hundreds of high school basketball players from across the country to Central Arkansas for the tournament's ninth year.

Families and spectators watched the top teams from Houston and Chicago face off in the championship game for 17-year-old players Sunday afternoon.

During the weekend of April 12-14th, 25 teams played in gyms across Central Arkansas giving coaches and scouts a chance to check out some of the best high school players in the nation.

Conference Planner Eileen Henderson says, "We have kids from Canada, California, New York, all over the United States."

Planners say it brought $3.9 million to Central Arkansas in 2012, and they're expecting a big economic boost to the area this year as well.
