LITTLE ROCK, AR -- On Monday afternoon, state health leaders spent the day trying to clear up as much confusion about the new health care law.The state surgeon general and leaders with the Insurance Department answered questions from the public at Sturgis Hall at the Clinton Presidential Center.
Many had questions about how to sign up and if they can expect higher rates as a result of the new health care law.
Health leaders said the new law will help Arkansans who have not been able to afford insurance before.
"People will be diagnosed earlier, get treatment earlier, have preventative services at no cost to them and what happens is we get a healthier population and cost goes down for everyone," said Cynthia Crone, deputy commissioner of the Arkansas Insurance Department.
