FORREST CITY, Ark. (AP) — A man accused in the rape and death of a young Forrest City woman 11 years ago is scheduled to make a court appearance.

Prosecutors have charged Anthony Johnson with capital murder, rape and kidnapping in the Sept. 15, 2000, killing of 19-year-old Tawana Blunt. The Forrest City Times Herald reports that a hearing for Johnson is set for Monday.

Forrest City police announced April 11 that DNA found at Blunt's apartment connected Johnson to the crime. He lived in Forrest City at the time of the killing but extradited from Indiana, where he was incarcerated at Pendleton Correctional Facility.

Johnson is being held in the St. Francis County jail without bond. Records didn't indicate if he had retained an attorney yet to represent him.

Sounds like this guy has a real problem living by the law. Send his butt to the table and load him up with juice.
