LITTLE ROCK, AR-- Morrilton city leaders will lead a tour of historic buildings Saturday morning.
The event is part of the National Preservation Month. The journey is named after author Jane Jacobs.
Leaders encourage people to bring a camera to take pictures of your favorite buildings. The pictures taken will be presented to the citizens at a public forum to be held later in the month.
"Jane Jacob was an urban activist who thought great American cities were being destroyed by urban sprawl. So she started doing a study of walkability of cities and what makes cities great. And so we thought we would take that concept into Morrilton," said Morrilton Historical District Commission member Karen Hofford.
The event starts at 9 at Broadway Park.
