LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Arkansas State Police have more information in the hit-and-run death of Lakevia Jiles on Christmas Eve.

Troopers found the body of Jiles (aka Lakevia Britt) along the westbound lanes near the Geyer Springs exit around 2:30am on Saturday. State Police say the suspect vehicle is a 2002-2008 GMC or Chevrolet that may have extensive damage on its driver side.

Jiles was 35-years-old, last known to be living in North Little Rock. She is 5’11” and weighs 135lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who may have seen Jiles in the hours leading up to her death or saw a vehicle early Saturday morning matching the description of the suspect vehicle in the vicinity where the body was discovered is asked to contact the Arkansas State Police by calling 501-618-8100.

I feel bad for her and the family of this lady but do have to wonder, what was she doing walking on the freeway during that time in the first place? Was there an argument in the vehicle she was in and she got out and started walking on the freeway? She was married so surely her HUSBAND would have known why she was on the damned freeway and who she'd been with that evening...it just seems to fishy to me..

I agree that the person should have stopped but I am also in a job where I know this person couldnt have been saved at all, her injuries were too extensive.

I am praying they find the person(s) responsible because no one should hit someone and just leave. This person life could have been saved with urgent medical assistance. Smh
