Hog fans begin to arrive

24 hours before the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic kicks off and the atmosphere around Cowboys Stadium is pretty quiet.
ARLINGTON, TX – 24 hours before the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic kicks off and the atmosphere around Cowboys Stadium is pretty quiet.

But, in Silver Lot 14 the action has already started for Jamie Patterson and crew. They are already set up and ready to go with Arkansas themed flags, tent, satellite dish.

On his football themed beer pong table, Patterson broke down scoring possibilities for the Razorbacks. "Okay, so what's going to happen....Arkansas will get the ball on the 20....Wilson is going to throw the ball to Joe....he's gonna run up there and then over here....straight in for the touchdown."

As expected the Razorback fan base is now pouring into north Texas. Hog banners are up and flying and Hog calls can be heard all around the Metroplex.

Kansas State fans are here as well. The purple wave grows bigger by the minute, travelling down from the Little Apple. But Vicky Keathley isn't worried one bit.

"I have no concerns about the ‘purple wave,’ I don't even know what that means. I'm not even sure what their mascot is, I keep looking around, I saw a kitten, is it kittens?” In fact, the mascot’s name is Willie. “Willie the kitten, " jokes Keathley.

Hog fans are not worried about the game either, just ask Joe Wilson, of Wilson Auctioneers. Using his staccato auctioneer’s cadence, Wilson counts up the points for the Razorbacks, finishing at a modest 42-0.

Coverage of the 2012 Cotton Bowl begins at 5pm with the Fox 16 pre-game show. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:32pm, with Gus Johnson on the call.
