Hot Spring inmate dies in jail

The Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Office says an inmate was found dead in his jail cell Friday morning.

Thanks for the votes but I would like to see a little more discussion om this problem. A little more info too. It is sad that no one has suggested some way of helping to change this problem. Surely someone out there is in a position to help with it.I wouldn't mind seeing some stats on it. County by county.

Mentally ill people DON'T belong in our jails. They know what happens to them if they are found out. Stripped naked and put in a padded cell and PCA says "oh just give "em a pill they'll be okay. My condolences to the family. So sad to happen over a misdemeanor. Our Jail staffs aren't trained for the mentally ill. I imagine it was awful for everyone.
