Hundreds of volunteers helped law enforcement search Saturday for missing 14-year-old Sidney Randall.  The teen is the subject of an Amber Alert based out of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.

On Friday, Walnut Ridge Police Chief Richy Thatcher told The Times Dispatch there are still no leads in her disappearance.  Thatcher encouraged volunteers to participate in a coordinated search effort Saturday.  Volunteers met at 9 a.m. at the Walnut Ridge Fire Department.

Authorities drew up a map and gave groups assignments on which areas to cover.  Approximately 200 volunteers took part in Saturday's search efforts.

A member of the elite search group Texas Equusearch was expected to arrive at some point Saturday to help lead efforts.  Additionally, more dog teams were expected to arrive.

On Friday, a dive team finished clearing a deep spot on Running Water Creek. The Pocahontas Dive Team used a sonar equipped boat to check Clear Lake and also worked several places on Black River, according to
The Times Dispatch.

Sonic and other restaurants around town have provided meals to volunteers.

Its great to see so many people come out to search for Sidney. I personally feel that the POSBastard took her across state line since he is such an experienced hunter and hid her somewhere. My prayers are with her family and her. She just needs to be found so she can be laid to rest peacefully. May all those responsible for her disappearence, burn in hell

to get all the stories they've published on this website, you need to put the young girl's name in the search box above the Lifestyle link - click the Go button and it will show all the stories related. Then you can start at the beginning and get what they've published. Not much, mind you, but it does answer most of the questions that come to mind if you've only reading the latest story.

Had to go to news in northeastern Arkansas to find out it was a suicide and the gun underneath him and that was in the early days of the search when they didn't need any help looking! What a crock.

The LE's are not going to reveal any vital information to the public. There is of course more to the story as the mother has changed her story a few times. The biological father will have an issue with her in reguards to legal matters if the step father had anything to do with her disapperance as it appears he has. At least the idiot could have left the family a note where her body is so the family could give her a proper burial. It's really sad when a mother keeps her child(ren) around a man that's so hateful, controlling and dominating. I do hope they find her and soon.

My problem with all this is them not letting everyone search that wanted to. After they found him dead to heck with protecting a crime scene. When he left the house after the mother told him that she had called 911 I don't think he would go back to where he committed the crime. She is probably on the other side of town. Sure hope not tied up!

Why is there no information on her mother, and just a brief statement by the brother? Did her mother live in the home, was the girl in trouble, did the stepfather have a record or children of his own? Just a quite suicide? Lots of missing information on this girl- you keep checking where his truck was-it has been raining and windy- flash flood warnings if she was in the water wouldn’t she be downstream? Was money missing was she trying to run away? Tell on her stepdad- or someone takes the girl and shot the stepdad. Why were they gone together, to where? Where is own dad? Usually there is a better picture of what’s been going on which might ring someones bell!
