Toasteroven...the line is shorter because Dillards has a reputation of discriminating. Asians, African Americans (blacks), and Mexicans are not known to be (easily) employed in southern states.

One more thing.... Just real quick question. Why would a homeless person be asking for help to pay their light bill?

sparrowhawk60 I was unemployed for almost two years. I know what hard times are all about dude. Something I learned....There is other things out there to do. I'me a mechanic by trade and it seemed like i couldnt even buy a job. I had to learn another skill. In my case. I whent to truck driving school. Sence then i've moved on to bigger and better things. Jobs are out there if one wants one bad enough. You can't sit at home with you're thomb up you're tail and expect it to happen. If you can't find one... Think about the ones that are working and start working on getting training to do what they do. Hospitol/truckers/fuel nidustry/food industry....ect. Check it out and do you're homework.. You would be surprized at what you can find.

Apathy, hopelessness, tranportation, clothing, no phone, another place applying, homeless, handicapped and judgementalism. I know someone who has applied for over 500 jobs. None of those things matter when you apply for help with your heating bill. It was in Maumelle for cryin out loud. Like Dillard's would actually hire them and if they still have a car and could afford the gas until they even get a paycheck. You should count your blessings and hold your judgements. It may come back to haunt you. NO I AM NOT ON THE GOV'T DOLE. Yes there are those your description fits. You have to pay child care costs up front. Hit on tunnel vision have you? One shoe fits all?

That line sure does look a lot different from the line of people looking for help paying their heating bills that FOX16 posted the other day. I wonder why that is?
