These will be used for facebook, twitter, youtube but not reading books. Waste of money. Why can't the kids read the way I did?

Sounds like a waste of money to me. Why can't they read books? And how many of these Nooks will disappear in exchange for drugs? What's next? We have to buy their home computers? How about a car to get to school? I think they get too much of my tax money now; and I see PCSSD needs 70 million for desegregation, which doesn't exist in LR and NLR school districts, but still exists in PCSSD. And the kids test score rankings on a national level; I think we, the tax payers are getting the shaft considering the amount of money we are having to pour into our schools.
