WARD, AR – The Lonoke Sheriff’s Office seized 45 marijuana plants Monday and Tuesday in Ward.

The sheriff’s office says deputies first found 19 of the plants growing in pots in a wooded area by Covington Road. In those woods they found a trail leading to a home on 146 JJ Lane.

The following day the deputies came back to the home with a search warrant and, according to the sheriff’s office, found 26 plants growing inside, paraphernalia for growing marijuana, other related paraphernalia, and what deputies estimated to be 2 ounces of marijuana.

No one was home when the search warrant was executed. The owner of the home has been identified and an arrest warrant is pending.

Quize, I have to be honest everyone is an addict. Everyone's addiction are not the same, take a close look at your life. You'll discover this to be true. We as a nation have all became addicted to crude oil. It is considered a necessity of life even though every product that is produced from crude oil has a natural organic replacement we can grow from the soil instead of drilling holes in the ground. The old adage is work smarter, not harder. Our illustrious leaders are wasting valuable resources that would be of better use to the people chasing and keeping the violent predators off the streets.

Hey Quiz keep listening to the corrupt government, they'll never lie to you about marijuana. FYI, alcohol is the gateway drug.

It is hard to carry on a debate or an intelligent conversation with anyone whose mind is in an altered state. Good luck with your addictions. I am sure your children are proud of you.

i am a college graduate, a father of 2, a voter, a tax payer. i give money to the homeless, pick up hitch-hikers, volunteer, mentor juvenile delinquints, and am an avid pot smoker. i smoked pot all of the way through college (most do, don't they?) and graduated with honors. i don't smoke meth (lonoke), i don't molest kids (lonoke, i'm talking to you), and i am not corrupt (hey, lonoke police dept- haven't you been in the news a few times for worse crimes?). i DO know quite a few lonokians, the mortician is a pediphile, the cops i know are complete douchebags who absolutely CANNOT be trusted. i'm not cop-bashing, i'm telling you i know these guys & they are inbred flunkies at best. that being said, i know plenty of great people from lonoke- like any town- good & bad. i digress, alot, my point: big fuggin deal- this is a non-story about a non-crime- crimes have victims. OHOHOH, AAANNNNDDDD: @ "QUIZE"- i would love to have a conversation with you. your closed-mindedness is profound, actually a little too self-righteous- seems like every time i've heard someone speak so condescendingly they are inevitably found out to have the most depraved skeletons in their closets. what i'm saying QUIZE is that you just described the life of jesus, please nut up & describe YOUR life. you're not perfect, you have a crutch, perhaps your self-righteousness is your crutch. anyways, please respond, please contact me- seriously i would like to know more

No tobacco in any form. I have plenty of energy without something artificial helping. Once in a while I will have a cup of coffee after dinner. I have a very satisfying life without having to depend on a crutch. If the petition hawkers would spend more time on some charity work helping addicts who probably started their addiction by smoking pot than pushing a losing proposition they might have a more rewarding life. Just saying.
