CONWAY, AR – A Conway insurance agent says someone stole thousands of dollars from her business and her customers resulting in several cancelled policies and she thinks it is an inside job.

State Farm Insurance agent Amy Sparks tells Conway Police she noticed something was wrong when an unusual amount of cancellation notices for policies started showing up.
Sparks believes one of her own employees stole thousands of dollars worth of insurance payments made by customers. She also says that someone cashed one of her own checks for nearly $200 with her forged signature.

You never know, this could start happening somewhere else. No matter what insurance company you're with, you might want to just double check," says LaTresha Woodruff with the Conway Police Department.

Sparks tells Fox 16 that “there will be no lapse of insurance coverage of any of her customers due to any employee's actions or alleged mishandling of funds".

Police are investigating the incident and the State Farm employee. No charges have been filed. The employee declined requests to tell their side of the story.

Why not give the employee name? It should be made public who this person is so other businesses will have a heads up if they come into their business trying to pass a bogus check.
