Jacksonville elementary remembers 3 students killed in fire

JACKSONVILLE, AR - Students at Dupree Elementary in Jacksonville remembered three of their classmates on Friday killed in a fire last week.

Dequan Singleton, 10, Sydni Singleton, 9 and Haylee Beavers, 6 were all students at the elementary school.  They along with their mother Marilyn Beavers, 30, and 4-year old sister Emily died from smoke and soot inhalation in a fire inside their duplex on March 22.

Students and faculty read poems and stories and concluded the "memorial remembrance" with a balloon release.

Funeral services for the family of five is set for Saturday at St. Luke Baptist Church in North Little Rock at 11am.
