LITTLE ROCK, AR - A man who escaped from the Hot Spring County Jail last year, and is wanted on multiple outstanding warrants throughout Central Arkansas was arrested and mistakenly released from jail Saturday morning, then arrested again this afternoon.

Lt. Carl Minden with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says Boykins was taken into custody for the second time today at 9411 Mabelvale Pike in Little Rock. Minden says United States Marshals, Little Rock Police and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office were all involved in the recapture of the suspect.

Dewayne Boykins was arrested the first time today by North Little Rock Police and booked into the Pulaski County Jail. According to the sheriff’s office, Boykins was mistakenly released around 4am, Saturday morning.

“The nature of Boykins’ charges would not have allowed for his release at that point. The exact details of how Boykins was mistakenly released are under investigation,” said Lt. Carl Minden, with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

In June of 2011, Boykins escaped from the Hot Spring County Jail. Boykins was arrested on theft charges. According to the Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Office, Boykins stole electronics from a Malvern Walmart. He was arrested when he came back to the store a second time to pull of the same crime, according to the sheriff’s office.

In addition to Hot Spring County, Boykins has outstanding warrants in North Little Rock, Little Rock, Searcy, Conway County, and Parole and Probation.

He's like a machine....just keeps on going no matter what. We should release him in Iran and maybe he'll steal their Nuclear Weapons Program.
