Jason Baldwin advocates for cameras in the courtroom

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Jason Baldwin is in Little Rock for a discussion on cameras in the courtroom.

Baldwin, along with Damien Echols and Jessie Misskelly were convicted of killing three young boys in West Memphis in 1993.

The so called "West Memphis Three" maintained their innocence and were eventually released from prison after accepting an Alford Plea, a deal from prosecutors entering guilty pleas while still claiming their innocence.

Baldwin says the filming of the HBO documentary series, "Paradise Lost," played a key role in the outcome of the case. "No one would have known of the terrible injustice that occurred. We would have been forgotten and swept under the rug. Damien would have been executed and Jessie and I would have been left in prison to grow old and die."

The discussion also included author Mara Leveritt who wrote the book "Devil's Knot," chronicling the case.
