Jefferson Co. Man Accused of Killing Granddaughter's Boyfriend

ALTHEIMER, AR -- Deputies in Jefferson County have arrested a 75-year-old man accused of shooting and killing his granddaughter's live-in boyfriend Thursday morning.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO), investigators responded to a 911 call around 9:40 a.m. Thursday at Cornerstone Road, where they found 23-year-old Tabius Love, who had suffered what appeared to be a single gunshot wound.

JCSO says initial investigation determined that Love and 75-year-old Billy Nutt, who made the 911 call, were involved in a "domestic violence incident that resulted in Love's death."

Love and his girlfriend lived at the home with her grandparents, Nutt and his wife, according to JCSO.

Billy Nutt was arrested and taken to the W.C. "Dub" Brassell Adult Detention Center on probable cause for first-degree murder.

He is scheduled for a bond hearing at 9 a.m. Friday.
