JEFFERSON COUNTY, AR -- After a home invasion involving one of their neighbors, people in Indian Harbor are understandably on guard.

"When we saw you out here, the sheriff had been called," Jesse Yarbro told me.

They're not taking any chances.

"We called them back and told them it was Channel 16 here," said Yarbro.

Yarbro said neighbors can't understand what happened at the home.  A man posing as a postal service worker told the woman living here he had a package for her.  When she turned away to get a pen to sign for it, detectives say he and another man stormed in.  They demanded she put the pets away, lie face down and then they tied her hands.  One man sexually assaulted her before stealing valuables from the home and leaving.

"It will make you wonder when you open the door. My wife said I will not open the door anymore," said Yarbro.

"Do you blame her?" I asked.

"I don't blame her," Yarbro answered.

The postal service uniform even throws deputies for a loop.

"We are living in an age now where you can go online and get just about anything you want," said Major Lafayette Woods, spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

As deputies try to figure out who did it, neighbors remain vigilant and apologetic.

"We kind of look out after each other but I guess we failed this time," said Yarbro.
