But the real point is, if he can't be trusted to be honest in small things, Why should we trust him? A thief is a thief, and we have too many dishonest people in power already. If the people elect him again, then they are saying they do not want an honest candidate. Perhaps its too close to Easter, but I can almost hear the call for Barrabas. You might be suprised how many crimes are expunged every day, and many of them quite serious. The judicial system just rubber stamps them making any criminal background checks useless and any conviction a mere temporary formality, and another source of revenue for the legal industry.
