"Kartwheels for Kali" Event Sept. 4

BENTON, AR - An event called "Kartwheels for Kali" is coming up on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

The fundraiser is for local schoolgirl Kali Hardig, 12, who's recovering from parasitic meningitis.

"Kartwheels for Kali" features our own reporter Hubert Tate, who told Hardig he'd turn cartwheels when she was taken off a respirator.

The event is being held at Salem Elementary School (2701 Salem Rd.) in Benton from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A $5 donation will get you a kartwheel pass. There will be games, raffles, and a silent auction. A booth will be setup to make KardsForKali, pizza $1 slice, KupcakesForKali $1, KookiesForKali $1, free water

Salem Fire Department trucks will be on display.
