I am already bankrupt from thinking my retirement would be by RENTALS...between deadbeat renters and maintenance...NOW THE RENTER IS CALLING ME ASKING ME WHY HIS GAS BILL IS $350.....??? I had my gas cut off years ago and I do "COLD HOUSE" warm one room with tiny heater like a hair dryer...yes, if I have company I fire up kitchen stove and another tiny heater..they sit around in their coats.lol BUT HELLLL. I am going to spend $350 a month for the weekly visit someone makes. BESIDES I THINK IT IS HEALTHIER. I HAVEN'T HAD THE FLU OR ANYTHING IN YEARS.

we live in a 2400 sq ft house (around that figure). there are 6 in the family. we have gas heat and a gas hot water heater. in the summer our electric bills plus our gas add up to as much as $400 a month, with electric being the larger portion. during winter, the worst months, again our energy cost are around $400, but the gas is the larger portion ($300-$350). We can't figure out what we're doing wrong. Our insulation levels are up to code. We've caulked the house probably to an unhealthy stage, we keep the thermostat on 67, hot water heater turned down, wash clothes mostly on cold. I've tried to find out who I can get to come out and check our house for leaks of some sort, but can't find anyone who does it. I wish we could get some sort of help. A payment plan just doesn't cut it. I don't need more time, I need it to cost less money. Period.

Entergy pays around 3-45 per hr for nothing that is why it is so high. Entergy workers get a minimum of 35-45 dollars and hr so go from there.

Come up with a better way than turn the temp down. I'm already bundled up in sweats and heavy terry house coat and I'm COLD TO THE BONE COLD, the SKIN temp is ICE COLD. HOW MUCH COLDER DO WE HAVE TO GET????
