LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Another defendant charged in a corruption and narcotics investigation in eastern Arkansas has pleaded guilty to a drug-related charge.
Tremaine Simon, aka Kocaine Krazy, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Prosecutors agreed to drop the other charges against him as part of the plea deal. He'll be sentenced later.
Simon is among the 71 people indicted as part of a probe known as Operation Delta Blues that focused on the Mississippi Delta town of Helena-West Helena. Five law enforcement officers were indicted in the investigation.
More than a dozen people, including four law enforcement officers, have entered guilty pleas so far.
