LR Tax Services work through wknd before deadline

April 15 is the usual last day to file your taxes. But because April 15 is a Sunday and Monday is Emancipation Day, this year's deadline is April 17.
LITTLE ROCK, AR-- Nancy Reynolds waited until the last minute to file her family's taxes.

"I am hoping for a refund," said Reynolds.

Shera Stallings at Liberty Tax Service remained open throughout the weekend to answer a major concern for Reynolds.

"The number one question of taxpayers is are we getting a refund of course," said Stallings.

Experts say since the deadline is so close, make sure you are prepared.

"When you come in, you want to have all your business forms that are required. Most of the time you receive those by mail. You also want to bring in last year's tax return," said Stallings.

Professionals say there are benefits of filing online. Not only is there the added convenience factor, but also the chances of getting audited drop.

"That's because the chances of you making a mistake drop. So that's just one way to curb the chances of being looked twice by the IRS. Just make sure you file online," said personal finance expert Farnoosh Torabi.
