LR hopes Mardi Gras parade will bring life to Main St.

Familiar sights and sounds march through downtown Little Rock. Today, the Southside Main street organization hosted a festival and parade for the Mardi Gras season.

They think the parade will add life to the Main Street area, hell, the MLK almost added death to the downtown area. You can try all you like to promote the LR/NLR area, but it is what it is.

Forget it, in the same words as one of my deceased 1st cousins who lived in Covington, LA about Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I wouldn't attend your stinking Mardi Gras main st. parade if you paid me to.

I wish there had been more publicity on this event...I had no idea about it! As someone who used to live in New Orleans, and rode in quite a few parades, I would have loved to have been there today.
