LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The Razorbacks won't battle against LSU this year in Little Rock. Instead the Hogs will play in Fayetteville.

Leaders say the on-campus stadium can hold 20,000 more fans and the switch allows coaches to host recruits during a very big match up.

War Memorial Stadium Commissioner Brenda Scisson understands why the game had to move.

"Who wouldn't want to host the Arkansas-LSU game. But in life, there are some times when you have to be practical and unselfish," said Scisson.

Even though Little Rock is losing the LSU game, there are two others playing at War Memorial. Those include Louisiana-Monroe in September and Ole Miss in October.

Despite today's announcement, Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola is happy the university has a presence.

"I think Athletic Director Jeff Long and Coach Bobby Petrino know the importance of reaching out to Central Arkansas. Not only from a recruiting standpoint. But also a from a fan standpoint," said Stodola.

Some fans are happy about the decision.

"When I'm here, I like being able to go," said fan Alexis Edwards.

But others are not.

"There are more fans here that can go and see the game. It's nice that we have a team that has two stadiums. That is unique amongst SEC schools," said fan Doug Donham.

I am glad to see that common sense won over the Stephen's factor, this has to happen and is truly a good decision for the program.

Everything in this country is based on the dollar. LSU will be a sell out and there are more seats to sell in Fayetteville. If Little Rock could find a way to enlarge War Memorial by about 25 thousand seats you'd hear Petrino talk about how important it is to allow all the people in middle Arkansas see their pride and joy play a major game. He and Broyles have the little guy's best interest in mind at all times and their devotion to the state of Arkansas is overwhelming. Kind of gets you all choked up inside. Abraham Lincoln said "I hope God is on my side but I've got to have Kentucy." Broyles said "I hope the average Arkansan is on my side but I've got to have greenbacks."

Home games should be played at home. Little Rock is not home to the U of A, so the games should all be played "on the hill"

ASU will never be prominent in this state! Get out of the Sun conference and we'll talk.

we love the hogs, I wish the best for them, but there is another university that is gaining exposure and rightfully so...ASU has a chance in the future to gain prominence like the hogs did in their hiring of coach petrino..former ASU assistant, coach mike tomlin of the pittsburg steelers, may someday be "wooed" back for the head coach position...what a boost in recruiting that might bring...then there is that old "broyles control factor" to deal with, the one where UA won't ever play ASU...in-state school rivalries would seem to be a benefit for the state...enough said and you may call me crazy if you please...god bless us and football
