LITTLE ROCK, AR – Voters in Little Rock approved the issuance of bonds to improve street and drainage projects in a special election Tuesday.
Both questions were approved 76% to 24%. The approval means the property tax will be reduced from 3.3 mills to 3.0 mills.
The proposal is expected to generate $105 million over the next 15 years.
Voter turnout was sparse, slightly more than 5% of registered voters weighed in on the millage extension.
