@wpsark - You're correct that they won't be able to find quality employees. However, I would never underestimate the stupidity of the city directors by saying that this motion won't pass. LR is nearing a death spiral as far as cities go. If this passes, they will be vying with Pine Bluff as least attractive city within 5 years.

I dont care where they live. The only thing is if they live outside of the city limits, they drive their own vehicle.

This is stupid. City leaders sure do not have a problem with out of town residents shopping in their city and generating sales tax dollrs for LR, but we are not good enough to fill your jobs? YOU HAD BETTER RETHINK THIS ISSUE! I FOR ONE WILL BOYCOTT YOUR CITY, AND DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME! This is a free country. People should be able to work, play or live where they want. There is so much more behind this proposal, but it seems that no one really wants to talk about the elephant in the room. I dare the LR leader behind this to tell people what their true motives are!

The fact that half of the LRPD lives outside the city limits should send a HUGE message.

I think it is a good idea to live in the county you work in. Sure help out with traffic!
