LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock Police Chief Thomas has sent two officers in jail on drug charges letters informing them that the termination process has begun, FOX16 has learned.

Officers Mark Jones and Randall Robinson face charges of conspiring to aid and abet and attempting to aid and abet the possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possessing a firearm while taking part in a drug-trafficking crime, prosecutors said.

Jones and Robinson were served in jail on Saturday with a letter from Chief Thomas informing them the department has started the process to terminate them.

Both men, who had their first court hearing Friday, are still being paid as of now.

From one extreme to another. Now we got $74K in overtime for one(1) female police officer. Extremes of either kind are a crime. It is not about race or who wins it, it is about doing what you are hired and paid to do, or not taking more than you have earned. LRPD is not one person or one bad system, but all of us and the surrounding cities our police come from. . .

@butch you are correct sir i like to post in this forum i like to read opinions and i hate that it is all clouded by hate. we are supposed to be the part of society that is appauled by the crimes and madness and we come on this site and we are horrible to each other, no wonder this world is so bad. when we are the good guys!

blackandproud, that link doesnt really give you a realistic number of anything. I will however disagree that there are so many more blacks in prison than whites. The prison population of whites vs. blacks is not as far apart as some would think. But what you have to look at is the types of crimes committed. Do your homework and you will see that whites tend to commit more of certain types of crimes than blacks and vise versa. You'd be surprised to know that there are more white sex offenders than blacks. But from all of my homework, there are more blacks in prison for violent crimes than any other race. There are pieces of trash in all races.

They both should have never been hired as Little Rock Police Officers. Check out the passed of both, may be something to look at?

If you really see what is real take a look at all the tanning places and people buying suntan lotion. Could it be that green eyed monster runs wild in the lighter colored people. If an apple is rotten what difference does it make if it's red or yellow. Just like rotten apples thugs are thugs. Jail them all and exterminate all killers.

RADAD you are wrong, so so wrong. maybe per capita but not overall by a long stretch. your facts are not facts at all you made that up if you didnt then post your link on this site. i challenge you to that. these men deserve to be fired and imprisoned if they are found guilty! doesnt matter what race they are. backinaction the lady you are referring to won her lawsuit, so that speaks for itself. charlie c just more racist babbling. this is not a racial issue this is an issue of abusing your authority and the publics trust. they should be dealt with if guilty and face the music.
