LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police report a man has been killed after an early morning shooting in the parking lot of a gas station.

According to reports, officials from the Little Rock Police Department responded to a call about a shooting in the parking lot of the Citgo located at Baseline and Geyer Springs Road around 1:15 am on April 3. When they arrived, police found a green Chevy truck on fire, and pulled the driver, later identified as James Hornes, from the cab. Hornes was pronounced dead on the scene.

A second victim, 33-year-old Stephen Taylor, was found in the parking lot suffering from four non-life threatening gun shot wounds. Taylor told police that two or three men driving a maroon pick up followed them to the gas station and began shooting into the truck.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

May Mr.Homes RIP...But Arkansucks the truth is Stephen Taylor is a drug addict and probably had this man if he wasn't involved in it something he should not have been around.Stephen stays at the hotels up off Scott Hamilton and others around this city but mostly there.I know because Stephen is my family. He needs to get his life together and maybe not being able to walk will help him do that.To the family of Mr Homes I hope that you find peace and justice.God Bless

No, not drug-related. It was someone leaving their work shift from across the street. I feel sorry for those that have to work or live in sw. Not everyone there is bad. But you can't sugarcoat it and say those streets of Asher, university, geyer, baseline, chicot, etc, are lined with peach trees and friendly neighbors. Watch your surroundings.
