LITTLE ROCK, AR - Three men, including a former Little Rock police officer, were found guilty of conspiring to rob an armored truck Friday.

Jurors listened to two weeks worth of evidence and testimony before deciding former LRPD officer Jason Gilbert, Antonio Person, and Allen Clark conspired with two others to rob an armored card during a bank robbery at a US Bank branch in NLR 4-years-ago. Approximately $400,000 was stolen in the crime.

The jury also found Person guilty of the armed robbery and brandishing a firearm during the robbery.

All three were taken into custody by the US Marshals after the verdict was read.

The conspiracy and robbery charges carry a possible punishment of up to 20 years in prison and/or up to a $250,000 fine. Person will also serve a mandatory 7-year consecutive sentence for brandishing the firearm.

Sterling Omar Platt, a former officer with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Mark Davis, Oscar Holmes and Eric Owens previously pled guilty to charges in the case. Platt, Davis and Holmes are awaiting sentencing. Owens was sentenced to time served up to the time of his plea.

I pray LRPD will stop employing officers relatives, this is bad for the police and the city, they hire on thinking they are safe in the "police family", but later have problems when they are arrested.
