Why is the school district changing the block schedule, a eight periods in on day is too much. The reason why the school district is doing this is they are too lazy to step up to the plate. And Jody Carreiro maybe if you would sit in on classes you will learn the reason why students are not proficient and advanced levels on standardized testing is because you do not know what is going on at the middle schools. Studies have shown that the 90-minute block format is simply too much time for middle school students. Adolescents in that age group typically have attention spans that cannot sustain an hour-long lesson. So Jody think about what you do before taking away what has been working for so long.
