LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Little Rock Public Works department is warning motorists of delays as Shackleford Road from Kanis to I-430 is milled in preparation for new asphalt.
The work will take place Wednesday through Friday, October 17 - 19.
According to a release from the Public Works department, “This work is in conjunction Sales Tax Funded 2012 Street Resurfacing Program. We will be milling the old street surface in preparation of applying a new driving surface. This is a much-needed process concerning a very high traffic-count section of roadway; therefore it is our intention to inform the traveling public about the planned lane closures.
"Every effort will be made to maintain the flow of traffic around the construction equipment, but due to the amount of traffic, some delays can be expected.”
