LITTLE ROCK, AR - A Sherwood man has been given parole by the Arkansas Parole Board after serving a third of his sentence for manslaughter.
Larry Staley pleaded no contest in the shooting of 18-year-old Bryant Cross in October of 2008. Cross was an intruder in Staley's yard.
Staley will get out of prison on March 1, 2013. His sentence will end on October 17, 2013. He will be on probation during that time.
The board had twice denied Staley’s request but reconsidered and voted last Thursday to grant it.
