Little Rock had a spate of convenience store robberies, and Tommy Robinson put booths inside the stores depicting a double-barrel shotgun held by a man on one-way mirrors. Because there might be a man inside that booth, they stopped overnight. If a person attempted to commit a crime in a church and knew there were possible concealed handguns carried by people trained to use them, there probably would not be any idiot who would try. Those kind of people are usually cowards who prey on the defenseless. Our freedoms are there because they were won by good men and women who were and are willing to put their lives on the line. The concealed handgun is just that-concealed. No person would ever know it is there until it is needed. D. Sharp, Gurdon

I am a concealed weapons permit holder, I dont see a problem having a firearm in church. If you are a concealed carrier you wouldnt advertise, and therefore nobody would know that you had a firearm unless circumstances arose where you had to use it. And then all would be greatful you did. To all the critics. If the life of your child were saved by a concealed weapons permit holder would you still be a critic? GOD GAVE US ENOUGH SENCE TO PROTECT OUR SELVES. SO DONT TRY TO BE SO GODLY THAT YOUR NO EARTHLY GOOD.

Why is it up to some politician whether I can carry inside a Church or not? Seems they have the least to do with it. This should be a matter for the church and the people carrying, no government wanker needed to tell the little people what they can and can't do. Carry in church anyway. If you ever need it, you'll be glad you did, and no jury in Arkansas would convict you for carrying in church if you defended yourself. I would bet we would tar and feather the prosecutor as well. At least we should.

It is my belief that we have the God given right to protect ourselves and defend our lives and the lives of our family, whether that be our church family or immediate family, I am a 38 year old female and I have a concealed carry permit, I also know that God is my ultimate protection, I also know in my heart that he has given me authority on this earth over evil and in the face of evil I also know that he has given me the right to protect myself and my child no matter where I am and no matter how it is to be done. I would not suggest that everyone go and get a permit or a gun unless you know in your heart of hearts that you could in a split second moral decision take the life of another human being, if it came to losing yours or your families life. I also know in the times that we live that the liberal politicians would like to take as many of our rights as they can to impose socialistic or in my view communistic government on our nation. Whether they realize what they do or not- God forgive them. The way I see it the KJV 1611 Bible prophecy's are taking place right before our eyes, and in our lifetime our second ammendment rights will be more important than they have been in the last 150 years. It's going to come to the point where people will have to decide to stand with God or stand against him. No riding the fence has ever been allowed no matter how gray the politics. I believe that there have been many many men from this great nation that have fought for and died for this country's freedom, and we as Christians are not standing up in the face of evil or in the gap for the Constitution or for Gods Holy Word, as we should, therefore we are letting them take away slowly every God given right and authority as believers that God himself bestowed on his children. We should have the right to carry a gun anywhere we want to protect ourselves from Satan's workers. I believe our first protection is the Word of God and secondly God given wisdom from his Word.

Sure, everyone has the God given right to carry. Even in a church. However, I can't think of a better place to be if I were choosen to be with the Lord. Give mercy to those who do not know what they do. God is my gun. He is my weapon.

This is just the type of controversial politics that distract us from more important issues. Hot Springs is in dire need of an overhaul and 'whether or not a deacon is sporting a .357' is the least of our worries. We need to focus on politics related to this town and how they have been 'questionable' for many, many years to say the least.

I always carry even in church. You never know when some anti Christ mentally ill Liberal will go insane (other than when he votes) and start shooting good people.

I would think that any church is at the mercy of those that would rob it as long as they knew that there would be no means of protection. Knowing that by law there would be an unknown number carrying firearms would be a great detriment to them.

As I've said before, let the churches decide on their own. Pass the law, and get the state out of the process. Then churches can be treated just like any other property owner.

I am a Police Officer here in Arkansas. I believe it should be left up to the people that have a concealed weapon. If they are confortable with carrying it in a church then that would be okay with me.. There are arguments for and against carrying it anywhere.. i think that the citizens of Arkansas should be allowed to protet themselves if needed.
