Lewis sentenced to 10 years for bank fraud

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Arkansas lawyer and businessman Kevin Lewis was sentenced to 121 months in prison Friday after pleading guilty to bank fraud. Lewis was also ordered to pay $40 million in restitution to victims he defrauded.

Lewis acknowledged that he issued paperwork for fake special improvement district bonds to obtain money for his businesses and to support his personal lifestyle. The Ponzi scheme netted Lewis more than $47 million.

The bank fraud charge carried a maximum pentalty of 30 years in prison.

wow and peoole get that same sentence for selling 100 dollars worth of crack or meth whichever side of racism you are on. this man should get life for 40 million

They will never see a dime and the sentence is way to light for the crime, this was a plea bargain deal from h--l

So if I read the article correctly, he has to pay 40 million back out of 47 million that he stole?
