LITTLE ROCK, AR- The Little Rock Fire Department responded to the scene of a fire at a Little Rock apartment complex Thursday afternoon.

According to LRFD Captain Randy Hickman, the fire took place at The Berkley Apartments, located at 1601 North Shackleford. The fire reportedly began as a result of a resident cooking or leaving something on, and only affected one apartment unit.

The fire was quickly extinguished.
