I figure the punk thug theives will steal them and sell them for their dope. Even if the do have "Police" on them and even the "blue lights". I'm all for it by the way! Any thing that will deter crime, esp. in the downtown market!

Oh yeah....put them downtown, by all means, and be sure everyone knows where they are so the police can't use them to spot fleeing thugs....OUR SYSTEM IS SO BROKEN....throw all these thugs in a huge bare building, take them off the street and see how crime goes down. WE NEED MANY MORE POLICE OFFICERS, VEHICLES AND K-9 OFFICERS.

Here's my beff with all of this. There are crimes committed everyday at locations that have cameras. Sometimes the police catch the criminal, sometimes they dont. The ones they do catch, go to court, receive a very light sentence, are right back out doing the same thing again. I think its a waste of money until they revamp the judicial system and start actually punishing criminals.

That will be a good tool to help with catching criminals as long as they don't try to do like Ca. did and try to use the cameras for traffic violations. Ca. try'd to send people a ticket in the mail for speeding'running a red light...ect...ect. As long as the cameras are used for actualy assisting in fighting CRIME. Shoot yea! I'm all for it too. How ever you should already have plenty of money for this... So don't start trying to rais taxes. Manage what you got. My pay check is already spread too thin.

I am all for it. In fact, they need to DOUBLE that amount. Now, it's what they do with those criminals if/when they catch them - will the punishment fit the crimes, or will they let them back out on the streets with a slap on the hand?
