Little Rock man killed in stabbing, girlfriend charged with murder

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police tell FOX16 news a man is dead, and his girlfriend has been charged with first degree murder.

Little Rock Police say it started as an argument at 5919 W. 19th, off of University Drive around 6:30pm. According to reports, the argument escalated until 30-year-old Alisha Pearson stabbed 32-year-old Theodore Mitchell in the throat with a kitchen knife.

An ambulance took him to UAMS, where a doctor pronounced him dead. Police officers took Pearson into custody, and she has been charged with first degree murder. Pearson plead not guilty Tuesday morning and is being held on $500,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
